The grapes that go into Henri Darant's Pulgny Montrachet are from a tiny 50 yr old vine plot, covering just half a hectare!  The production is very much classic as is the style.  Fermentation in stainless steel and maturation in old wood.  The palate shows notes of fleshy, cream stone fruit, weight yet linear and elegant.  The finish is slightly smoky with excellent length.
